Regulation (EU) 2019/943 on the internal market for electricity provides a framework for the further integration of renewable energy into the electricity market, sets out new rules on bidding zones and cross-zonal capacity allocation and reenforces the role of the market in providing price signals for investment. The Regulation entered into force on 4 July 2019.
