About
Short-term Electricity Market Operator – OKTE, a.s. started its activities on 1 January 2011. OKTE, a.s. was established as a subsidiary of Slovak Transmission System Operator Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s. (SEPS), which remains its only shareholder. Within the Slovak electricity market, OKTE, a.s. is classified by the Energy Act as an entity subjected to regulation by the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (RONI), the Slovak NRA. It is authorised to act as a Short-term Electricity Market Operator in the Slovak Republic and on 30 November 2015, it was designated by the Slovak Regulatory Office for Network Industries (RONI) as a Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) for performing tasks related to single day-ahead and single intraday market coupling processes. OKTE, a.s. shall treat all electricity market participants based on open, transparent and non-discriminatory approach when providing services.
